Mucho Bucho Amore

Happy early New Year to all and thank you for your continued Bucho support and love. The emails and myspace messages are much appreciated as we move in to 2008!... isn’t that great (that rhymes lol). The last few months have been a journey of recovery, writing, recording, and wood-shedding for us all. Gerald had a knee surgery in August and is on the road to a healthy recovery. 2007 was full of live outdoor shows, rockin with Bernard Purdie and Grant Green Jr, North Beach Jazz Fest galore, and lots of growth. Look out for full band shows around April. In the mean time, peep a lil live youtubage over on our myspace page and keep dancing. Look forward to seein you all soon. Sooopa Show Week

Busy week for Bucho shows yall! Come get your fix before the 2007 Summer live hits end. Bucho will be taking a short break from live shows August through 2008 for recuperation and writing. Gerald is undergoing knee surgery, so please check back for updates and to post your love. Over the next few months we will continue to record, write and give you lil web snippets and updates, so don’t be skurred. With that being said, make sure you get out to a show this weeeeek! Tuesday July 24 we will be rockin the Sacramento Zoo from 6-8pm. Bring the famsky as we get acoustic and rockin. Wednesday night July 25th, most of the crew will be @ Royale for the opening of the North Beach Jazz festival. Thursday July 26, we will be in Concord @ Todos Santos Plaza from 6:30-8pm for the Farmers Market/Concert Series. Friday night we will be back in the City @ Pier 23 for a night on the Bay (literally, patio on the water yall, beauuutiful nights). Saturday we will be kickin it at the North Beach Jazz Festival, hit us up and come kick it. Sunday we will be PLAYING the North Beach Jazz Festival, that’s Sunday July 29th 4pm on the main stage, between John Santos and Bernard Purdie (good god, jump back, one of JB’s funky drummers woeee!!) Musical treeeeats all evening and night, TODAY June 28th. First up check out Sir Gerald Pease live at Marilyn's (9th n Kst, Sacramento), as he lays down some accustic gems for you. That's right, G, a guitar, and some solid song writing. Come check out some new originals, revamped Bucho tracks, and classics all between 5 and 7pm. Then hop on highway 50 with us and head to Folsom, (just a short hop, skin n a jump), as the full band keeps it dancin all night at the Powerhouse Pub, 10pm on... Gyeeeeaa! Tonight if you’re in Sacramento come join Sir Gerald Pease at Old Ironsides for a night of G n the guitar, acoustical stylings, singer, song writing at it’s finest. Gerald embarks on a plethora of solo acoustic shows in the next few months, so be sure to mark theee calendars yall. Bucho brangs the full band and thee man, Sir Gerald Pease, to yee, the Bucho Fam. Next Thursday June 7th, G will start a 6 week residency at Marilyn’s in Sacramento (Every Thursday Evening), and the following Tuesday June 12 G/friends n fam will continue the Tuesday evenings at Mojitos (Every Tuesday Evening) from 6-9pm. Wishing everyone a Happy, Happy, Hoopy New Year! May you all enjoy food with fam, friends n more. We look forward to finishing up some recording, rocking some live shows in new cities and spreadin the Buchoness world wide in 2007. We’d like to extend a special digital bon voyage, happy new year message, (you can too!), to our bass man Josh. He heads to Chile early tomorrow morning with a San Francisco based play entitled Poeta Pan. Three weeks rockin crowds, beaches, pisco and more. Solid Past Couple Months (Bucho w/ Ozo, AWB n more!)

Happy holidays to all in the world wide web, the Bucho Fam, real life, and beyond. We wanted to give a lil thanks to all for such a beautiful last couple weeks and more, (we’ll get the year wrap up soon). The last few months we’ve been blessed to share the stage with some amazing acts that stretch across genre boundaries. First thanks go to the D.O.R.K.S United crew for putting on a fresh show this past Friday in Berkeley. Music needs people like the D.O.R.K.S fam!!! Supportive, creative folks that are making strides to put on solid shows for the bay area n more. Helpin the scene “Before the Music Dies” (check that movie, give to your friend, neighbor or your sister.) On the live act tip, most recently we wanted to give thanks and shouts to the Ozomatli camp for being down to earth and such inspirational musicians. Want to see some pics from the show? Recently they were involved in a bus crash where they lost everything. We are thankful that they are all alive but are in definite need of some holiday support. First off, thank you to everyone who made it out to Old Ironsides last Friday for the Live Recording! The support, love, dancin, hootin n hollering was mucho appreciated. Be on the look out for a few more Old I recordings to come!! Next in...BUCHO will be performing this SATURDAY DEC.2ND as part of a benefit fundraiser to raise money for the play POETA PAN. The proceeds will help to take the play on tour through CHILE for the month of Jan. BUCHO'S very own JOSH LIPPI with be traveling with the play to Chile providing live music to accompany the singing, dancing, and shadow imagery. THIS SATURDAY'S show will include BUCHO, THE BAYONICS, THE SFSU AFRO-CUBAN ENSEMBLE, DJ'S AND THE CAST OF POETA PAN @ CELLspace (2050 Bryant St. SF,CA) 8PM-2AM $10 min donation. POETA PAN is a live performance featuring drama, dance, music and shadow theater, presented in Spanish. The performance is dedicated to the memory and work of Pablo Neruda, a highly influential Chilean poet. Can't be in the Bay Area this weekend??? Well get ready because next week we have a big show goin down.... Bucho and OZOMATLI at CSUS Dec 7th. Excited?!? So are we. Help spread the word!! Hope to see YOU there soon. The Bucho Fam will be in the building this Monday November 6th, at the Mystic Theatre opening the show for the funk masters from across the pond, The Average White Band. We are excited and honored to be rockin with some living legends, pick up yer tickets here. The last couple weeks we’ve been workin with some other legends as well over at J street Recorders. Workin out some originals, recordin some remix’s and pretty much gettin the audio candy prepped for your ears. Want that live audio on disc or mp3 format you say? First off, we would like to give a special shout out thanks to the UNIQUE fam over at Sac State. Last Wednesday’s show with Zion I, The Grouch, (first show of the “Heroes In the City of Dope” tour = HOTHOTHOT), and Crown City Rockers was off the hinges (soooper cool, keen, neato). Fresh crowd, Fam, vibe, and all around good time. Second up we’d like to thank the West Sacramento Neighbors fair for havin the DIG familia out. What an awesome day of sun to kick it along the Sacramento river, rock it and then hang/watch Chris Webster, Jackie, and the Cold Blood Fam get down. Awesome Saturday indeed. For this weeeeeek, Wednesday October 11th, get ready Humboldt/Arcata area!! We the Bucho Fam, and fellow road trippers be comin to rock the dance party near you (Cali northerners). We have a special show ready to get them feats stanky, get the club stanky, and sweat it out. Sounds gross? I smell a deal, we got merch specials for college kids getting their education on. Holla at us at the show and we’ll hook you up. THEN THURSDAY OCTOBER 12th we are rockin San Francisco’s very own/newly remodeled BRUNO’S. We are excited to rock this show as BRUNO'S has a long history of frresh music and we hope to keep that ole legacy going with the new club. Bring out your dancing shoes, a beach towel, and get ready to ride the big dipper. Bucho is headin to Santa Cruz this Saturday night, September 30th to open for the Cherry Poppin Daddies. Gonna be good peeps, fresh eats, and lots of sweaty feet! We recommend getting a ticket ahead of time HERE just in case the banana slugs slow you up (go UCSC!!!). (ORRR help send a few myspace bulletins here.) After we make it outta Santa Cruz we head to Sacramento for two hot shows next week.
